![]() In todays fast moving world it's easy to forget to stop and look around sometimes. Working in the events industry for almost fifteen years means I have had various target markets at different times but's its a good habit to think about the future not just the present which brings me onto tip number three. Think about your current target market but also your future target market. New clients can be anywhere but there are some who will naturally be hotter than others. Ok so you've told everyone what you are doing and you're already seeing the referrals coming in. Better than the message in a bottle approach by just sticking something on twitter!Ģ) Broadcast your own story-tell people what you are doing and why you are doing it (Don't forget a call to action though) Ask people to do something! So I thought I'd share a few thoughts on the importance of client acquisition and what you can do as a small business, a bigger business or an individual the concepts are quite similar.įirstly it's been an interesting exercise for me this week to start really looking at my business network and good news it's actually very wide however not everyone is a potential client.
